Now is undoubtedly the time for Lambrusco to reclaim its origins as a dry, fully sparkling red wine. The multi-award-winning Concerto, crafted by Medici, aims to restore Lambrusco's reputation to its former glory. This exceptional wine is produced from a single vineyard, with reduced yields to enhance concentration and depth. Lambrusco, which translates to "wild grape" in Italian, comprises a group of six varieties primarily found in Emilia. Among these varieties, Salamino is the most prevalent, known for its full-bodied nature and aromatic profile. Nestled within the estate lies an ancient Franciscan monastery, a testament to the region's rich history. It is believed that parts of the estate were once part of this monastery. Interestingly, there is no such thing as white Lambrusco—only red varieties exist. The Concerto has consistently garnered numerous awards every vintage since 2004, a testament to its exceptional quality and craftsmanship.
